Join us the first week in August, for a traditional church festival at Divine Mercy Parish.

For three days, the festival features entertainment tents with opportunities for all ages
to laugh and dance while sampling delicious food. Now in its 31st year, FunFest
offers rides, raffles and great food that makes this festival a yearly tradition.

Here's what the committee is saying:

"Harpo and I have been booking the bands for funfest for many years. I have never been
so excited to bring you a new Sunday band called the Swing-O-Matics. This eight piece
group is not just a band, it's a show. And the music is fantastic. I'm afraid the dance floor
might not be big enough!"
- Dawn Carrillo, Fun Fest co-chair

"Yes, it is true that Tim Tehan picks the ears of corn fresh from the field and delivers them
daily to the grounds - the corn is so good I gotta have one every day!"
- Glenna Goodwin, Fun Fest Food Chairperson

"Looking for something more exciting than fast food when you need a meal on the go?
Try the Fun Fest Drive-thru for a delicious meal in no time, prepared by your fellow
parishioners. The drive-thru offers the same outstanding dinners served on the festival
grounds, only faster! Baked or Fried Fish on Friday, Barbecued Ribs (courtesy of
South Woods) on Saturday, and Grilled Chicken Dinner on Sunday."
- Mellisa Gerum, Fun Fest drive-thru coordinator

"It takes hundreds of hours to plan Fun Fest, even before we step foot on the grounds.
Dawn and I want to thank all the great parish members who volunteer their time before the
festival starts. From crafters and bakers, to all our sponsors . . . Thanks for all your support."
- Steve (Harpo) Janiszewski, Fun Fest co-chair

"We changed the brand of hamburger patties last year and they were so popular that people
asked if they could buy them by the box! We're definitely serving them again this year!"
- Glenna Goodwin, Fun Fest Food Chair

"Back by popular demand, the St. Thomas More Spelling Contest at Fun Fest. It was such a
huge success last year, that we will be holding it in the large tent on the large stage, and
STM will be offering $200 cash prize to the best speller. Anyone is welcome to attend, but
you must pre-register. Email spelling@dmfunfest.com or call the church office to be put on
a list. Come and cheer on the contestants, Sunday at noon."
- Dawn Carrillo, Fun Fest co-chair

"Come check out the new Kidz Zone area at Fun Fest, we have an entire new look this year,
a larger tent filled with some new fun and exciting games, prizes and an entire area of
inflatable attractions. We will blow you away! Teens, come challenge each other or me to a
game of Ping Pong or Air Hockey in our new game filled tent. I grew up with an Air Hockey
table, so watch that puck fly!"
- Wendy Schley, Children Games Chairperson
